Yesterday we held our first Bushcraft Wild Wednesday family event in Bridgend. And as you can see from the photos, the kids loved it!
What is a Bushcraft Wild Wednesday?
Two hours of outdoor fun! Kids aged 7+ built natural shelters using anything they could find on the forest floor. Then got inside so we could test if they were waterproof. Much to the parents’ disappointment – they all stayed dry! Then a chance to light fires trying different methods used throughout the ages. From modern fire steels, to flint and steel and the hard work of the bow drill. To round it all off, we finished with toasted marshmallows and s’mores – and of course, big smiles!
