WHAT TIME OF YEAR DO YOU RUN PARTIES AND EVENTS?
All year round! We have had brilliant feedback following parties held in the depths of winter and on scorching summer’s days – the most important thing is for all guests to wear the right gear to suit the weather conditions. Please see ‘what to wear’ on our kit list.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT’S RAINING OR IN BAD WEATHER?
We carry on! Some activities can take place under our bushcraft shelter, whilst outdoor activities still prove enormous fun in the rain (and sometimes even more so!) as long as guests are appropriately dressed. Please see ‘what to wear’ on our kit list.

Sometimes, however, the great British weather can defeat even the hardiest bushcrafter! We will always carry on as long as it is safe to do so, but we risk-assess continually and will halt or postpone an event if we feel it is unsafe to continue. In the event of this happening, we will communicate with you at the earliest opportunity, arranging either to reschedule at your convenience or to issue a refund (please note that if your event is taking place on an external site, we may not be able to refund the small site fee).

If you decide to cancel the event in poor weather after we have risk-assessed it as safe to go ahead, this will be treated as a cancellation and we will not issue a refund. Please refer to our terms and conditions, and please get in touch if you have any questions about this.

WHAT SHOULD GUESTS WEAR?
Our events are held outdoors and therefore we can’t guarantee that guests will stay clean! We recommend wearing old or inexpensive clothes, wellies or old trainers and waterproofs. For further details, please see ‘what to wear’ on our kit list.

HOW DO I PAY? HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT?
Payment by bank transfer (BACS) is preferred. We accept cash and cheques. We can also take card payments. As a small business it really supports us if you are able to pay by BACS.

To confirm your booking, we require a non-refundable 25% deposit. Full payment is required at least four weeks before your booking. Late payment is treated as a cancellation of your booking. Please read our terms and conditions before making a booking.

We need this information to give your consent for your child to take part. We also need it so that we are aware of medical conditions, dietary requirements, and emergency contact details. Consent for under-18s must be provided by a parent or legal guardian.

Consent forms need to be returned at least 3 days in advance of the party so that we can take in to account any dietary requirements or medical conditions.

CAN ADDITIONAL ADULTS COME TO A CHILDREN’S PARTY?
The spirit of a bushcraft party is to give children the chance to try their hand at something they probably haven’t experienced before and to use their initiative. We encourage parents to drop their children off and enjoy a much-deserved break whilst we run the party.

We also do not have facilities on-site for additional adults to stay. There are plenty of shops and cafes nearby. Our top picks are McArthurGlen for shopping and restaurants, Porthcawl for a walk on the beach and fish and chips, and Cobbles Kitchen and Deli.

If you’re keen to have a go, why not check out our parties and events for adults?

DO YOU PROVIDE INVITATIONS AND THANK YOU CARDS?
Invitations and thank you cards are available to download below. At the end of every children’s party, we also provide a certificate for each child to take home as proof they are a competent bushcrafter.

CAN I BRING A CAKE AND MY OWN GOODY BAGS?
Yes, of course! Just let us know when you would like to cut the cake so we can get the timing right.

If you are looking to buy a cake, we recommend local company Cakes Simply for delicious, affordable homemade cake creations.
